“I have a great job. I get to see so many beautiful designs come my way — and then make them even better by taking the layout and massaging it to perfection. The trivial and the minutia are what I deal with, and it makes a huge difference. Furthermore, pushing the project through the print process adds a sense of finality and closure to a job well done. Ultimately, it’s still just ink on paper. But, it’s what ink, on what paper, that makes a piece really stand out from the others.”

I’m endlessly fascinated by obscure facts, surprising phenomena, unconventional wisdom, counterintuitive solutions and dazzling leaps of creativity. Dealing with the complexities of the human psyche — figuring out what will make people take notice, remember, engage, embrace, purchase or reconsider — is an exhilarating challenge.”

“From a young age I was intrigued with the way things worked. I constantly tinkered with old toys, broken radios and anything else I could get my hands on. I loved to examine the small details that play such a big role in how things function. As I got older the toys became computers, programs, Web sites and designs. The same passion I had for fixing broken toys is still what drives me to create today. Except now I’m a bit older and instead of just tinkering with things, I make them work.”

Programming is really an expression of a solution to a problem. Your code represents your thought process to solve a particular problem given a set of constraints. I’m fortunate enough to have a career that allows me to document my thoughts and put them in a timeline that allows me to watch how I have personally and professionally evolved.”

“A wise person once told me that networking is everything. Boy, was she right? I’ve learned that perseverance is key; not only in the competitive world of marketing and advertising, but also in my own career. I didn’t think that walking into a local beer joint in Sacramento I’d make some of my best friends, but that’s what happened. And because of that, I also entered into the world of Wallrich Landi. It’s pretty fun to know that I can combine my personal interests and zest for creativity with my career. I look forward to coming into work each day knowing that it’s going to be different than the one before. Wallrich Landi allows me to be the outgoing person that I am, and network network network.”

“I was not born to become a doctor, a teacher or an attorney. I was born to organize. There’s just a feeling of going to bed at night knowing that everything is right where it should be. The project binders are standing upright in alphabetical order on the bookshelf; the clean clothes are hung neatly in the closet according to color, style and occasion; the dirty knives are facing blade down in the dishwasher. Some people call it anal; I call it vital. God forbid you try to move something out of its place. I guarantee you I will notice. After all, my job depends on it.”
