To support the Sacramento Public Library with its ongoing efforts to promote literacy throughout the community, Wallrich Landi developed creative to market two campaigns still in full swing today. Since forming the partnership in 2005, Wallrich Landi has donated $30,000 in in-kind services.

    One Book Sacramento is a campaign that encourages everyone in the city to read and talk about the same book with others in the community, and participate in programs and events featuring the author.

    Dovetailing with the message and visual components, print collateral like event posters, banners and invites were developed to match the design standard and reinforce branding efforts. Two-color design layout was used to elegantly extend requests for attendance to each event while maximizing the resources of the program at the same time.

    The Web site supports the efforts of the campaign with simple, clean layout while intuitive navigation makes the visit pleasant for the user. Significant real estate was dedicated to highlighting the current book on the landing page while reinforcing the campaign branding. Providing a design with an easily updatable content structure allowed for efficient management and updates to be made by the Library.

    Taking advantage of every opportunity, event-specific advertisements were developed highlighting the book, author and event details to not only encourage attendance to the event but also participation in the program as a whole.

    Celebration 955: identity

    In 2006, Wallrich Landi had the pleasure of branding the Persian gala and auction, targeting the area’s Iranian community to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Sacramento Public Library’s Persian Language Program. The event was coined “Celebration 955” in reference to the Dewey decimal classification number for Iranian subjects.

    Wallrich Landi’s research into all things Persian: symbols, typography, traditional colors and design motifs, paid off in the execution of the event’s accompanying marketing materials. The resulting theme richly represented the Iranian culture, as illustrated in the sponsor brochure.

    From an eVite to an RSVP card, Wallrich Landi’s design tied cohesively with the identified theme and delivered an elegant and worldly feel. An event program featuring event details and speaker information was handed out to guests for reference throughout the night. The event was a huge success, grossing $110,000 for library programs.
